Playlist Themes

Playlist Themes allow you to customize the design of the Playlist Pages you send out on DISCO. Themes are great for promo, like sending out an Album release, or if your business has different parts with separate branding – like different labels or catalogs, for instance.


By default, if you do not select a Theme, each Playlist will contain your company logo and the default background:


Themes let you change the background, the logo, or both!


Adding a Theme to your Playlist

There are two ways to add a Theme to your Playlist:


From Playlist Settings:

  1. Open the Playlist menu (⋮).
  2. Select Playlist Settings.
  3. From the Presentation tab, under Playlist Themes, choose an existing theme, or click the + to create a new one.
  4. Click Save.



Using the Edit playlist option:

  1. Open the Playlist menu (⋮).
  2. Select Edit playlist.
  3. This will open your Playlist in the Playlist Creator. From the Playlist Creator, click Save.
  4. In the Save Playlist menu, from the Presentation tab, under Playlist Themes, choose an existing theme, or click the + to create a new one.
  5. Click Save.


Creating a Theme

There are two ways to create a new theme:


From your account settings:

  1. In the top right corner, click the person icon.
  2. Select Settings and Account.
  3. Under Settings, select Themes.
  4. Click the + in the top right corner to create a new Theme.
  5. Add a Name, Background Image, and Logo.
  6. Optional: Check the Set as default box to set this as your default Theme.
  7. Click Create Theme.



From the Save Playlist menu

  1. Using the instructions in the section above (starting from either Playlist Settings, or Edit playlist), navigate to the Save Playlist menu.
  2. From the Presentation tab, under Playlist Themes, click the + to create a new Theme.
  3. Add a Name, Background Image, and Logo.
  4. Optional: Check the Set as default box to set this as your default Theme.
  5. Click Create Theme.
  6. In the Save Playlist menu, click Save.

Managing your Themes

You can manage your Themes from within your account settings:


  1. In the top right corner, click the person icon.
  2. Select Settings and Account.
  3. Under Settings, select Themes.
